Banquet 2016 Live Auction

Len Yoap of Yoap & Yoap Auctioneers

  • “Cardinal” by Scott Zoellick. This is a signed and numbered print (#737/850) wonderfully framed by Lea Naze of Wildlife Classics Art & Framing. Scott has won Wisconsin Stamp print awards and many other conservation print awards.  Scott, a Wisconsin native, has developed a keen interest and knowledge of the regions bountiful wildlife.  Capturing this environment on canvas, he admits it was a natural direction for someone who just loves nature.  This print would look great on anyone’s wal“Below the Bend” by Bill Doyle.  This stream follows through the Gallatin Mountains in Montana and empties into the Missouri River.  Bill’s original watercolor painting has no duplicate.  He has been a longtime contributor to our banquet as well as being a lifelong member of our Club.  Some of Bill’s work has been sold at Orvis Stores and other galleries all over the country.  This is probably his best painting that has been donated to us.  Don’t miss out on this one.
  • American Tree Sparrow carving by Robert Taylor.  Bob has been showing off his talent for many years, and our Chapter really appreciates his great work.  Tree Sparrows are busy visitors in our back yards during the winter and can be seen scrabbling for grass and weed seeds.  They breed in the far North and are rarely seen in southern Canada in the summer.  This is a wonderful carving, so let’s show your gratitude by putting in a great bid.
  • “The Competitors – Brook Trout” by Mark Susinno.  With his classic artist training, and believable fishing scenarios, Mark catches the anglers world from every perspective.  In just over a decade, Susinno is recognized as one the today’s foremost gamefish artist.  His images have been on 18 different conservation stamps.  He is an active member of Trout Unlimited, the Coastal Conservation Association and the Potomac River Smallmouth Bass Club.  This is a signed and numbered print (#211/450).  All Wisconsin trout anglers should be interested in his realistic print.
  • “Guided fishing trip for salmon, trout or smallmouth” by Gordy Martin, owner of Tie 1 On Guide Service.  This trip is a full day of fly fishing on local Sheboygan Rivers and streams for migratory fish in the spring or fall.   Another option is fishing Sheboygan County inland streams for trout or smallies.  Just call Gordy and book a wonderful day of fishing of your choice.  Check out the photos of the catches and wonderful scenery which you may enjoy.  Gordy has been guiding for years, and has access passes to private stream reaches in the Sheboygan area.  Be ready for an enjoyable and relaxing day of fishing with an expert.
  • “Super Bowl Champions”   It is just after Super Bowl 50 and this print would look fantastic on someone’s wall at home, office or the cabin.  It has game day photos of the Green Bay Packers three famous quarterbacks. It displays the teams and scores of the Packer victories.  And it has replica tickets from Green Bay’s four Super Bowl games.  Check out the prices on these tickets from years past.   This historic Packer print would look great in your collection.
  • Two Terry Redlin Prints.  The pencil print is a 1988 version called “Evening Solitude”.   “Heading Home” is an encore edition and probably his most famous print from 1990.  Sadly, back in 2007, Terry was placed in a nursing home with Alzheimer’s disease. You can have both of these two desirable prints with one bid.
  • “Guided Walleye or Muskie  ½ day Fishing Trip” This a guided trip on the bay of Green Bay for two people provided by GMW Guide Service.  You have your choice of walleye or musky fishing, all equipment and expenses included.  Greg is a certified Coast Guard Captain and licensed guide with over 15 years of guiding and tournament experience on the Bay.   However, as a special bonus you could use this certificate for 1/2 off a fully guided archery hunt for White Tail deer.   The bay of Green Bay is known for its great walleye fishing and not bad for muskies.  Your Captain is Greg Wierzba.   Let’s bid high on this fascinating offer!
  • Canvas Print of Bart Starr and Bret Favre.  Donated by Jerry Watson of the Stadium View Bar and Banquet Hall.  Jerry has been a huge supporter of our banquets over the past 30 years.  This print will add nicely to anyone‘s collection of Packer memorabilia.  These two quarterbacks put the Packers and Green Bay on the map throughout the country. This print was done at Brett Favre’s retirement ceremony, so give this great item the bid it deserves.
  • Barn Owl Carving by Dick Prehn. Dick has proven over the years that he is a master of carving and painting fish and birds.  A hobby he started in the 1970’s now occupies most of his free time. His wildlife carvings are now in private collections throughout the States. Dick has won many awards for his work.  Be ready to outbid your friends on this exquisite piece of artwork.
  •  Fly Fisherman’s Dream Cabin stay for 4 days / 3 nights.  Need a long weekend get-a-away?  Or, a place to enjoy some time with the family?  Or, just looking for that great opportunity to fish one of the better trout waters in northern Wisconsin?  This Auction item has it all.  This cabin sits on the bank of one of Wisconsin’s Wild Rivers, the North Branch of the Pike River.  This river paradise is a “post and beam” log cabin, built with reclaimed turn-of-the-century, hand-hewn barn beams.  With a quarter mile of river frontage and enough accommodations for 16 people, an opportunity like this does not come along very often.  So place a strong bid for the opportunity to stay at this fisherman’s paradise practically in your back yard, near Dunbar.   Normally, this cabin rents for $300 per night.
  • Guided Fishing Trip for Smallmouth Al Jamir is an avid fisherman and has fished the Menominee River System the past 11 years. You and a guest will enjoy the world-class fishing we have in the Menominee River System.  Al will treat you and your guest to a full day of fishing for small mouth bass with a fly rod or spinning rod in a Hyde 16 foot low-profile drift boat. He will also treat you and your guest to a grilled lunch. A mutually acceptable date will be scheduled for summer of 2016.
