2022 NE Regional Meeting Summary

On December 3rd, GBTU joined several of our Northeast Regional TU brothers and sisters to fund the 2022 Northeast Regional coldwater habitat projects.
Three organizations were seeking a combined $34,900. They were the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) out of Lakewood, the WDNR out of Antigo and the Trout Unlimited Great Lakes Stream Restoration (TU GLSR). Thanks to the efforts of TU, all funding was committed !
Below are the requests, and each chapter’s pledge…
WDNR Lakewood (Jonathan Pyatskowit / Shawn Sullivan) – $14,900 ($10,000 for crew, $2900 for temperature monitor and $2000 towards a boat)
- GBTU – $5900 + $2000 Friends Grant (crew)
- Marinette TU – $2000 (boat) + $4000 (Pem Bon Won)
- Antigo TU – $2000 (crew)
WDNR Antigo (Tayler Curran / Dave Seibel) – $15,000 (entire $15,000 request to go towards a habitat improvement crew)
- Antigo TU – $5000 + $2000 Friends Grant
- GBTU – $3000
- Marinette TU – $2000
TU GLSR (Chris Collier) – $5000 (entire request is for a habitat improvement crew)
- Northwoods TU – $1000 + $1000 Friends Grant
- Marinette TU – $1500
- GBTU – $1000
- Wild Rivers TU – $500
Total Donations Sought – $37,500 (everything was covered)
- GBTU – $9,900 (plus a $2000 Friends Grant)
- Marinette TU – $9500
- Antigo TU – $6000 (plus a $2000 Friends Grant)
- Northwoods TU – $1000 (plus a $1000 Friends Grant)
- WI River Valley TU – $1000 (plus a $1000 Friends Grant)
- Wolf Rivers TU – $1000
- Wild Rivers TU – $500
