As the temperature of the Wolf River rises, the trout move into the colder tributaries. One of the main ones is the Evergreen River (Creek) in Langlade County which we fished today.

Our 3rd work project of the summer on July 19th, 2014 was on the upper North Branch Oconto River where we bundled brush, narrowed channels and reconstructed banks. This 500 foot section that we improved was upstream of prior years work.

For the 23rd year, Green Bay Trout Unlimited participated in the sponsoring the Kids Fishing Event at the Izaak Walton Environmental Center ponds and shelter. Around 70 kids showed up this year !

On June 4th, the WDNR launched " the Dredge " into Hemlock Spring Pond. These ponds were created by the last glacier and the original ponds were much deeper and colder.

On May 17th, 2014, GBTU members embarked on the first work project of the year and cleaned up the Trout Educational Trail across from the NEW Zoo.

On March 1st and 2nd, GBTU and Cabela's teamed up to hold a fly tying clinic. TU members that helped with the instruction included Paul Kruse, Winston Ostrow, Linn Beck, Bob Obma, Randy Rake, Adrian Meseberg and Mike Renish.
