Article written on 2015-10-20 by: Adrian Meseberg
Would you like to find new, beautiful and very unique places to trout fish? What about ones that are nearby, hold trophy trout and are of huge ecological importance?
Did I also mention these waters maybe in trouble?
On Thursday, November 5th Green Bay Trout Unlimited will welcome Dave Seibel (and possibly…FVTU’s Tony Garvey) to talk about the importance of the Langlade County spring ponds, the current situation on hand and, of course, the fish.
As part of the most recent Wisconsin budget, the DNR is required to sell 10,000 acres of land. A couple months ago they released a list of “potential” lands to sell. This list contains several lands surrounding the spring ponds of Langlade County.
The Langlade County spring ponds are the largest concentration of natural spring ponds in the world !
The meeting details are as follow…
