Kid’s Fishing Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities!

Green Bay Chapter Trout Unlimited Members:

We have two great opportunities to volunteer and help local youth with fishing and conservation promotion.  Please consider helping and being a part of some great events.

Saturday, June 3 – Outagamie Conservation Club Take a Kid Fishing Day.  9:00-12:00 at the Outagamie Conservation Club located at N3502 Mayflower Rd, Hortonville, WI 54944. Here we will support their club with the Take a Kid Fishing Day.  Our chapter will have a fly tying station set up and a fly casting station. We also share information on what our chapter does and the importance of clean, cold trout waters.

Monday, July 10 – GBTU/PALS program Kids Fishing Day.  4:00-7:00 at the Izaak Walton Ponds at 3320, S Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301.  Here we help Brown County Human Services PALS program youth with fishing at the ponds.  Our volunteers help kids with baiting, casting, and fish removal.  This is a great event for us as we have been working with Brown County Human Services for 30 years.

If you would be willing to help at one or both of these events please call or email Dave Ostanek, GBTU Education Chair, at 920 362 6997 or [email protected].

Thanks,

Dave
